FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before the Wedding
How would you describe your photography style?
Candid, emotional, fun - and an eye for the hilarious ;) I blend documentary storytelling with playful prompting to capture the genuine moments without forced posing.
Can we meet before booking?
Absolutely. Whether in-person over a coffee, or a phone/video chat, I’d love to connect before we commit. It’s important we click (pun intended)—after all, we’ll be spending a lot of time together on your wedding day.
Do you do engagement sessions?
Absolutely. Engagement shoots are a fun, relaxed way to get comfortable in front of the camera before the wedding—and you get great photos for save-the-dates, your website and your walls.
Do you help with the timeline?
Yes. I’ll work with you (and your planner, if you have one) to make sure there’s time for portraits, family photos, and breathing room. A good timeline keeps the day relaxed and your photos joyful.
Do you travel for weddings?
Definitely. I’m based in Ottawa, but I’m happy to travel. For weddings outside the region, we’ll just factor in travel costs.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I do. Weddings are expensive, and I want this to feel manageable. Flexible installment options are available.
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I started capturing weddings in 2015, and I’ve been hooked ever since. From ballrooms to backyards, and from traditional ceremonies to cultural mash-ups, I’ve had the joy of photographing just about every kind of wedding you can imagine.
Can I see what past couples have said about working with you?
For sure. Visit my Google business page. Reviews from couples mean the world to me, so if we’ve worked together and you’d like to share your experience, you can leave a review.
How much does wedding photography cost?
I keep things simple with three main packages: 4 hours, 8 hours, or 12 hours of coverage. For intimate weddings and elopements, packages start at $600 for 1.5 hours. You can check out the full breakdown on my pricing page [link].
What does the payment plan look like?
To lock in your wedding date, I ask for a 50% deposit of the total balance, which is once our contract is signed. The rest is due two weeks before your big day. Need to chat about payment options? Just shoot me a message, flexibility is always on the table.
What if we need to postpone our wedding?
Life happens. If you need to move your date, just let me know and we’ll figure it out together. There’s no rescheduling fee, and as long as I’m available, all payments simply transfer to your new date. I’ve helped lots of couples through this, so promise do my best to make it a smooth process.
On the Wedding Day
Will you be the one photographing our wedding?
Yes! When you book me, you get me—no outsourcing, no surprises.
Do you bring backup gear?
Absolutely. I bring backup cameras, lenses, flashes, batteries, and memory cards so nothing gets in the way of your day. #Redundancies
Do you work with a second photographer?
For smaller weddings, I typically work solo. For larger celebrations or when there are events happening in multiple locations, we can discuss adding a second shooter for more coverage.
What if the schedule runs late—will you stay longer?
No problem. I always plan for that possibility. If things run behind, I can stay for extra time at a pre-agreed hourly rate. No surprises, just more memories captured.
Do you photograph cultural or religious traditions?
Yes! I love documenting different traditions and have photographed a wide range of cultural/religious weddings. Just let me know what’s important, and I’ll make sure it’s captured with care and respect.
After the Wedding
How many photos will we receive?
Every wedding is unique, but you can expect at least 30 photos for every hour of coverage.
Do you edit all the photos?
Yes. Every final image is individually edited for color, style, and polish. I don’t hand over unedited RAW files—they’re like film negatives, and the magic happens in the edit.
How soon will we get our photos?
You’ll get a sneak peek of 5-10 shots within 24 hours of the end of our time together, and your full gallery will be ready in 4–6 weeks.
Are our photos backed up?
Yes. Every image is backed up twice immediately after the wedding and kept safe until final delivery.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes—albums, wall art, and prints can be added on after your wedding. I’ll help guide you through options so you can bring your photos off the screen and into your home.
What happens if you’re sick or have an emergency?
In the very unlikely event I can’t be there, I have a trusted network of professional photographers I can call on. You’ll never be left without coverage.
